Carbon driver facing DUI count
A Carbon County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI).
State police at Lehighton said James Phillip Whitsett, 58, of Bowmanstown, was stopped about 10:07 p.m. on Oct. 14 along Fireline Road at the Blue Mountain golf course in Lower Towamensing Township, for several motor vehicle code violations.
At the stop it was determined that Whitsett was under the influence. The DUI charge is pending, troopers said.
