Schuylkill driver facing DUI count

A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24, along Morea Road at SR1010, in Mahanoy Township.

State police at Frackville said Donald R. Davies, 38, of Mahanoy City, was stopped for several traffic violations. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then given a breath test at the barracks which indicated he was over the legal limit of .08 percent.

Charges will be filed, troopers said.
