Two facing charges in Monroe
Two men are facing charges following an incident in Monroe County. Pocono Mountain Regional police said the incident began about 2:53 a.m. on Oct. 1 at SR940 and Long Pond Road, in Tobyhanna Township.
Officers on patrol came upon an accident at the above location. Officers observed two men outside a vehicle trying to push it off a large rock. The men were identified as David T. Brevner, 45, and Roberto Cebollero, 23, both of Pocono Summit. Both were found to be intoxicated, police said. The vehicle is owned by Brevner.
Cebollero stated he was driving, but had no driver's license. Both were placed under arrest for driving under the influence (DUI) because police could not determine who was driving. Both were unable to perform field sobriety tests and were transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.
During interviews Cebollero stated he had lied and that Brevner was driving. Brevner told officers someone else was driving. Brevner was placed under arrest and charged with DUI, driving while under suspension and false reports. Cebollero was charged with false reports, unsworn falsification to law enforcement and public drunkenness.
