Is he really gone?
Dear Editor:
As friends ask how will you cope with his loss?
Edward "Pat" Patrick 01/18/1923 to 10/03/2010
How do I cope with his loss?
Is he really gone?
Or
Was his body just a container to protect him from danger and harm?
When it was serving its purpose and appearing so handsome over the years did the container become damaged as time passed?
Were there so many injuries and ills that the container was no longer protection for him but a trap?
A trap that kept him from escaping and doing all that he loved and enjoyed.
He was so tired trying to escape from his trap but God finally saw his struggle and released him.
Is it the trap that is now buried and safe in his grave?
Yes I will think so.
I will not think of the grave as final nor as an ending.
No, he is not really gone.
He is here all around me and though not visible to any eyes.
He is still with me.
I can feel his presence everywhere and near me.
He is in my heart and mind.
Yes that is how I will cope.
