Elected as student government officer

Jaime Price of Nesquehoning, has been elected 2011 class senator of the Student Government Association (SGA) by the Susquehanna University student body. She will hold the position for the 2010 academic year.

The SGA provides a responsible and representative student organization to ensure an active student voice and role in governing the university. The Student Senate, the legislative branch of the association, provides a forum for student opinions. It deals with matters of concern to the entire student body and seeks solutions to campus issues. SGA representatives serve on university committees and the Board of Trustees to promote communication and cooperation among students, faculty and the administration.

Price, a business administration major, is a 2007 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School. She is the daughter of Kevin and Lauri Price of Lake Hauto.
