Completes boot camp

AR Christa A. Becker recently completed boot camp at the Naval Recruitment Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill. During her time at the Command, Becker received the National Defense Medal, as well as the Navy Expert Pistol Medal.

Becker graduated from Commonwealth Connections Academy on June 10, and left for boot camp on June 16. While enlisted in the Navy, she will pursue a career in aviation. She is currently stationed in Pensacola, Fla.

Christa is the daughter of Kathy Rodgers Becker of Jim Thorpe and Daniel J. Becker of Lehighton. She is the third generation in the Becker family to enlist in the U.S. Navy.
