Diligence FC golf tourney winners listed

Eighty-eight golfers participated in the 23rd Annual Diligence Fire Company No. 1 Golf Tournament sponsored by the company on Aug. 15 at the Mahoning Valley Golf Course, Mahoning Township.

The winning team in the four-person, scramble event was comprised of Tom Tirpak, Dave Scheese, Greg Surotchak and Terry Fritz. They combined efforts to record a score of 62.

Second place went to the team of Mike Kokinda Sr., Mike Kokinda Jr., Mark Kokinda and Ray Sediva. They were one stroke off the winning pace with a score of 63.

The third place winners, with a score of 64, were Tony Mangold, Craig Mangold, Nick Mangold and Jerry Mondschein.

Ian Miller won the longest drive competition while Tirpak won the closest to the pin prize.
