Four arrested in Lehighton

Four persons were arrested, one twice, for incidents in Lehighton.

Borough police said David Shiffert, 64, of 27 Bull Run St., Coaldale, was cited for disorderly conduct on Aug. 30 about 8:30 p.m. after he allegedly urinated in public in a parking lot to the rear of 111 N. First St.

Police said five minutes later Shiffert was also cited for public drunkenness when he was found at 223 N. First St., rear. Also cited for public drunkenness at the same location were Jay Kershner, 43, of 223 N. First St., Lehighton; Stanley Haydt, 39, of 319 Prospect St., and Richard Hartranft, 45, of 321 Prospect St., both of Weissport.
