Guns, other items taken in burglary

Guns and other items were taken in a Schuylkill County burglary. It was one of two burglaries investigated in the county by state police at Frackville.

Troopers said the break-in occurred at the home of Joseph Gwyther, 53, of 139 Peach Drive, New Ringgold, East Brunswick Township. Troopers said entry occurred sometime between 11:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4.

Removed from the home were two handguns, a flat-screen television, a laptop computer, a digital camera, money and jewelry.

The second entry occurred at the home of Daniel Frank Subalusky, 34, of 157 S. Spencer St., West Mahanoy Township.

The home was entered through an unlocked rear porch window.

Once inside the home was rummaged through and several items taken. Also, the criminal unplugged a refrigerator in the kitchen which caused about $150 in food and beverages to spoil.

The entry occurred sometime between July 17 and Saturday, Sept. 4.
