Class reunion

The Third Parryville School Reunion will be held on Saturday, Oct. 9, at Franklin Township Fire Company. Doors open at 4 p.m. with dinner served at 6 p.m.

Deadline for reservations has been extended to Sept. 18. Letters with information and the cost were previously sent to classmates. Those wishing to reserve their place should send a check made payable Parryville School Reunion and mailed to Irene Hopstock, 1375 Cherry Hill Rd., Palmerton, PA 18071. This year marks the 50th year since the closing of the Parryville School and organizers hope to have a good turnout, as they remember one of the great "small town" schools in Carbon County.
