A Schuylkill County motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash on Thursday. The accident occurred about 7:55 a.m. along SR901, at Beckville Road, in North Manheim Township, according to state police at Schuylkill Haven.

Troopers said Bryan A. Flannery, 31, of Minersville, was operating a Suzuki GN400X bike eastbound and approaching Beckville Road while Sharon V. Moyer, 44, of Pine Grove, was northbound on Beckville Road driving a 2005 Dodge Neon.

Moyer stopped at the intersection and then pulled out into the path of Flannery. The bike hit the left front corner of the Neon.

Flannery was thrown from the bike upon impact and landed about 40 feet from the point of impact. He was flown by medevac helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, with injuries troopers described as being severe. Flannery was not wearing a helmet, troopers noted. Moyer was not injured.

Troopers said Moyer was cited for stop signs and yield signs. Troopers added that Flannery is facing a charge of classes of licenses.
