Tamaqua woman cited at event
A Tamaqua woman will be cited following a confrontation at an Aug. 29 event at the Tamaqua Bungalow Pool.
Jeanette Major, 47, of 217 E. Pine St., Mahanoy City, went to the police station at 3:16 p.m. that day to report being harassed at a fundraising event. The offender was reportedly Jennifer M. Miller, 29, of 113 W. Broad St., Tamaqua.
According to Major, she was assisting at the event when Miller approached, yelling and screaming for her to leave. Miller reportedly threatened to punch Major in the face then grabbed her by the throat and demanded that Major leave.
Miller will be cited for harassment.
