Schuylkill man facing charges

A Schuylkill County man is facing charges following an incident that began as a child custody matter.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Brian J. Foster, 33, of Pine Grove, went to the residence of Becky Brown, 34, at 839 Suedberg Rd., in Pine Grove Township, on Wednesday, Sept. 8, about 5 p.m. to visit is daughter. Upon arrival Brown told Foster to leave. Foster pounded on the door until Brown opened it partically and again told him to leave.

At this point Foster, troopers said, forced his way into the home and was confronted by Charles Miller, 42, of Pine Grove. Miller told Foster he was trespassing and should leave. Foster then instigated a fight with Miller. Both Foster and Miller showed signs of injury and the residence sustained damages.

Foster was arrested and charged with burglary, defiant trespass and simple assault.
