Carbon woman charged with theft

A Carbon County woman was arrested for retail theft in Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said Nicole Bollinger, 22, of Palmerton, was cited for an incident at the Walmart store at 1091 Millcreek Rd., in Lower Macungie Township.

Troopers alleged she attempted to steal $373.19 worth of merchandise from the store by concealing it in her purse. The incident occurred about 2:35 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8.

She was taken into custody and committed to the county prison on a detainer issued out of the sheriff's office of Carbon County.
