Slovak cemetery
A meeting of the Protestant Slovak Cemetery Association of Nesquehoning will be held on Sunday, Sept. 19 at 2 p.m., at the Zion Lutheran Church.
75th anniversary
St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Nesquehoning will celebrate is 75th anniversary with a service at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 19 at the church followed by a dinner at Penn's Peak.
VFW auxiliary
The regular monthly meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary to Nesquehoning Memorial VFW Post 8008 will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 14, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at the Post Home on E. Center Street.
President Mandy Breiner will preside at the session. All members are invited to attend.
JROTC
There will be a nomination of officers of the Panther Valley JROTC parents in the classroom on Thursday, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. Please make an effort to attend.
Crime watch
The Nesquehoning Crime Watch will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. in the borough hall. Anyone interested is invited to attend.
Lansford Tax Collector
The office of Daniel J. Wynn, Lansford Tax Collector, will be closed on Thursday, Sept. 16 and will reopen for normal business hours on Friday, Sept. 17.
