Minor injury in Schuylkill crash

A teen driver sustained a minor injury in a one vehicle crash that occurred about 7:05 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 13, along Reservoir Rd., about a half-mile west of SR4033, in Union Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said a 16-year-old juvenile form Ringtown was driving a 2000 Cheverolet Impala eastbound and rounding a left curve when the car went onto the berm. The car continued along the berm for about 50-feet through a grass area and then struck a tree with the right front end, where it came to rest against the tree.

The teen sustained a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention. Damages were extensive to the vehicle. The teen was cited for not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.
