Woman arrested for drugs at jail

A Philadelphia woman has been arrested for bringing illegal drugs to a state prison in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville arrested Bridget Landy, 20, at the State Correctional Institution at Mahanoy, Mahanoy Township, on Monday, Sept. 13, about 12:35 p.m. Troopers said Landy was in a vehicle as a visitor and upon entering the prison property she consented to a search of her vehicle.

Found in the car was suspected marijuana. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
