Teen arrested after gun incident

A Monroe County teen was arrested recently following a domestic incident involving a handgun.

Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to 733 Edgewood Drive in Tobyhanna about 5:49 p.m. on Sept. 9 to a domestic incident involving a gun. On scene officers found the victim, James Lamb, 58. The investigation revealed a 17-year-old male had fled the scene into nearby woods. Police used K-9 Niko to locate the teen in the woods and take him into custody. Also found in the woods was a handgun. No shots were fired, police said.

The teen was placed in the Lehigh County Juvenile Detention Center pending a court hearing and charged with simple assault.
