The Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board conducted age compliance checks at licensed establishments in Palmerton, Lehighton and Bowmanstown, Carbon County, on Thursday, Sept. 16, starting at about 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Compliance checks consist of using supervised underage buyers in an attempt to purchase alcoholic beverages.
