Two teens arrested for burglary
Two teens were arrested on Wednesday and charged with a burglary and possession of stolen property.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said the two teens, both 16, are facing charges filed through the Monroe County Juvenile Probation Office. The teens are from Tobyhanna and Mt. Pocono.
Police said on Tuesday, Sept. 14, officers responded to a reported break-in at the residence of Sylvester White, 4155 Foxchase Terrace, A Pocono Country Place. White was called by a neighbor who discoverved the break-in.
On Wednesday White spotted one of the teens riding a motorcycle that had been sotlen from his home. He called police who immediately responded to the scene and confronted the teen from Tobyhanna. The teen not only had the bike but also other stolen property.
The investigation then led to the teen from Mt. Pocono. Police said at his residence additional stolen items including a television, DVD player and expensive ladies handbag were recovered.
The two teams are facing charges of burglary, theft and receiving stolen property. The two are currently lodged in the Northampton County Juvenile Detention Center pending a Monroe County court hearing.
