Marian golfers go 14-0 to repeat as Division II champs
Marian repeated as Schuylkill League Division II golf champs finishing with an unblemished 14-0 record with three wins on Monday.

Marian-Mahanoy Area-Nativity-Williams Vy.
The Colts knocked off Mahanoy Area by 67 strokes, Nativity by 10 strokes and Williams Valley by 20 strokes to earn the accomplish for the second year in a row.
All four of the Colts scored in the 80's. Josh Green carded medalist honors with a match-low 80.

Pleasant Valley scored four goals in each half and defeated Lehighton, 8-1 in MVC play.
The Bears (7-1, 3-0) were led by Ricky Forte's hat-trick. Teammate Chris Neff chipped in with two goals, while Michael Masullo, Anthony Ruiz and Nick Corralis added a goal apiece.
Lehighton's (2-5, 1-4) only goal was scored by Anthony Rossino. Luke Millen assisted on the play.
Pleasant Valley outshot Lehighton 37-5 for the game.
FIELD HOCKEY
Palisades-No. Lehigh
Tiffany Hendricks had two goals for Palisades and led the Pirates to a 2-0 victory over Northern Lehigh in Colonial League action.
The Pirates outshot the Bulldogs 10-8. Palisades goalie Meghan Hughes made four saves, while Nolehi goalie Nicole Horn had 10 saves.
The Bulldogs fell to 4-4 (4-2) on the season.
Saucon Vy.-Palmerton
Melissa Boyd's hat-trick sparked Saucon Valley to a 5-1 Colonial League victory over Palmerton.
The Panthers' Courtney Cawey and Kimmy Kelly recorded single goals.
Kyla Rodrigues scored the Bombers' lone goal in the opening half.
The Bombers' keeper Lydia Anthony finished with 14 saves, while the Panthers' Julie Carr ended up with two.
Palmerton slipped to 1-5 in the league, while Saucon Valley improved to 5-1.
Wilson-Northwestern
Caileigh Landrigan went onto score a hat-trick to fuel Northwestern to a 8-1 Colonial League win over Wilson.
Paige Horner added two goals and two assists for the Tigers, while Jenn Groller chipped in with two goals and an assist.
Tiffany Guman recorded a single goal, while Sara Jones was credited with an assist.
Sam Rex finished with four saves between the Northwestern posts, while Taylor Hitzel and Sami Sostorecz split keeper duties for Wilson combining for 15 saves.

Nativity-Tamaqua
Tamaqua (7-2, 4-1) used the strength of a balanced scoring attack and fine goalkeeping to score a 5-0 victory over Nativity.
Kayla Hope and Ali Updike tallied first half goals for the Blue Raiders, while Kailee Rottet scored goals in the second half. Teammate Cady O'Malley finished off the Blue Raiders' scoring with a single goal.
Hope was credited with the lone assist for the Blue Raiders.
Tamaqua's keeper Chey Bates grabbed seven saves to preserve her third shutout of the season.
Jim Thorpe-No. Schuylkill
The Olympians scored four goals in each half and rolled to a 8-3 victory over the Spartans.
Caitlin LIscinski had a hat trick and one assist and Kristin Lawrence scored twice and had three assists to lead the Jim Thorpe attack. Cat Condley scored a goal and added one assist. Monica Eckley and Chelsea Smelas also added goals.
Condley and Smelas also split goalkeeping duties with Condley making 11 saves and Smelas 15.
The Spartans actually outshot the Olympians 33-30.
Schuylkill Haven-Weatherly
The Hurricanes stayed tied for first place in Division II with a 3-0 victory over the Wreckers.

Bailey Normann and Sierra Marshall picked up wins in singles and doubles to help the Cavaliers get past the Bears 4-3 in an MVC tennis match.
Lauren Heckelman won the lone singles match for the Bears, while Emily Skutnik and Nicole Reeder won at No. 2 doubles and Karli Williams and Erin Dougherty won No. 3 doubles.
