Theft of firearm being probed

State police at Lehighton are investigating the theft of a firearm from a Carbon County residence.

Troopers, who did not indicate the type of firearm taken, said it was removed from the home of Lisa Jeffries, 35, of 4087 Forest Inn Rd., Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township. The theft occurred sometime between March 1 and Tuesday, Sept. 14.
