Female student cited for fighting

A 15 year old West Penn Township female has been cited following a fight at the Tamaqua Area Senior High School on Monday. The incident took place near the end of the school day.

According to police, the 15 year old started a fight with a 16 year old Tamaqua girl.

The younger teen was cited for disorderly conduct. She also faces disciplinary action under the district's zero tolerance policy.
