Bangor's Stani Schiavone, winner of the past three Colonial League girls titles, fired a 1-over par 72 Wednesday at Bethlehem Municipal Golf Course for this year's overall league title.

Schiavone finished 19 shots ahead of the next-best girls player in the tournament, Notre Dame of East Stroudsburg's Megan St. Ledger at 90. In a few weeks the Slater senior will compete for her fourth straight District 11 girls title.

The top male finisher at the Colonial League Tournament was Saucon Valley's Troy Heffelfinger, who shot 73. Palmerton's Ben Andrews was one shot behind at 74.

Andrews, a junior, made three birdies, four bogeys and one double bogey to finish 3-over par.

"I played well," Andrews said. "I had one or two drives that got away from me and really just hurt my round. I was under trees. I had to punch out. Other than that, I played well. I was hitting my irons solid."

Boys played from the 6,206-yard white tees while the girls played 5,175-yard red tees.
