An incident at a youth baseball game has led to charges being filed.

State police at Fern Ridge said the incident occurred at a youth baseball game held at the West End field, located off Fairgrounds Road, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, about 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26.

Troopers said during the game between teams from Pleasant Valley and Stroudsburg, Karen Deegan, 43, of Brodheadsville, was ejected from the game by the umpire for allegedly failing to stop cursing and using obscene language after disagreeing with a play and how the umpire handled the situation.

While leaving the field another confrontation occurred between her and parents from the opposing team. During this confrontation Deegan alleged that Axel Struckmeyer, 44, of Stroudsburg, pushed her.

Non-traffic citations were filed against Deegan, charging her with disorderly conduct, and Struckmeyer, who was charged with harassment, troopers said.
