Jim Thorpe arrests

Jim Thorpe police reported on two arrests made over the past weekend.

On Friday, Sept. 24, about 9:15 p.m. police were dispatched to 241 Center Ave., for a dispute. As the result of an investigation police charged Thomas Dobbie Jr., of that address, with simple assault and harassment. He was arraigned on the charges before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Nesquehoning.

On Sunday, Sept. 26, about 5:11p.m. police were dispatched to 300 Center Ave. for a possible theft in progress. As the result of an investigation Jessie Woodward, of that address, was charged with two counts each of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned on the charges and committed to the county prison.
