Published September 28. 2010 05:00PM

A Luzerne County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one vehicle crash in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Hector Berberena-Soto, 28, of Hazleton, was operating a 1993 Pontiac Bonneville, on the exit ramp of Interstate 81 at McAdoo, intending to enter onto SR309 in Kline Township, about 11 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26. He failed to negotiate a curve and the car impacted with the Jersey barrier to the left and then came to rest in the grass between the exit ramp and 309 northbound.

Berberena-Soto was found to be under the influence and was transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results. A photo of the accident scene appeared on page 10 of Monday's TIMES NEWS.
