A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one vehicle crash that occurred about 6 p.m. on Sept. 19.

State police at Lehighton said Norman Bloom, 54, of Kunkletown, was involved in a crash in the parking lot of Franks Pizza, SR209, in Polk Township. He was found to be under the influence and was taken to the barracks where he submitted to a breath test.

He was then lodged in the county prison in Snydersville on an outstanding bench warrant, troopers said.
