Retail theft arrest
Pocono Mountain Regional police reported the arrest of a Monroe County woman for retail theft.
On Saturday, Sept. 25, about 2:37 p.m. officers were called to the Shop Rite store in Mt. Pocono for a female in custody of theft. At the scene the suspect was identified as Esther Crook 35, of Tobyhanna. Store security alleged that Crook attempted to conceal $92.13 worth of merchandise and leave the store without paying for it.
Crook was placed under arrest and issued a citation and released.
