Two burglaries in Mahoning
Chief of Police Kenneth J. Barnes of Mahoning Township reported two burglaries in the township.
On Sept. 18 at about 4:15 p.m., and then again on Sept. 19 at about 8:53 a.m., a resident of Orioles Drive reported that attempts were made to gain entry into the home by cutting a screen to a basement window. Additionally, on both occasions, the garage to the house was entered and tools were removed but not stolen. The resident also reported that the deck to her pool was damaged.
On Sept. 20, at about 10:10 p.m., a resident of the 700 block of Oak Grove Drive reported that a burglary occurred at the home between 8 and 10 p.m. Entry was gained via an unlocked rear, sliding glass door. The resident reported that solen was jewelry, three handguns, a television, a Playstation, a Nintendo Wii, and a lawn mower.
