September 30, 1977 Phil McGarry carries 26 times for 171 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead Palmerton to a 22-6 Centennial League victory over East Stroudsburg. McGarry opens the scoring with a 36-yard run and also finds the end zone from four yards out. The Blue Bombers, coached by Bill Dukett, also receive a 15-yard TD run from Terry Rex.
