Monroe driver facing DUI count

A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a traffic stop.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said about 3:52 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 28, officers stopped a vehicle along SR940 at Sullivan Road for failure to have a valid inspection sticker.

The driver was identified as Jesse Oltmann, of Tannersville. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.

The DUI charge is pending the test results, police said.
