Tamaqua couple married 60 years
Charles R. and Beryl Donahue of Tamaqua
Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Donahue of Tamaqua celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently.
They were married on March 24, 1951.
Mrs. Donahue is the former Beryl M. Wagner, daughter of the late Webster and Irene Wagner of the Lewistown Valley.
Mr. Donahue is the son of the late Hugh and Berdella Donahue. He formerly co-owned the P and B Sporting Goods Store in Tamaqua for 40 years.
The couple has two children: Candace, wife of Joel Johns of New Fairfield, Conn.; and the late Ricky H. Donahue.
They also have a daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Donahue of Lake Hauto and a grandson, Joshua R. Donahue of Jersey City, N.J.
A family party was held at the Top of the 80's Restaurant, West Hazleton, in honor of the occasion.
