Woman charged with drunkenness

An Effort woman has been charged with public drunkeness by the Pocono Mountain Regional police.

Diana Carmona, 46, was cited at 8:32 p.m. on April 2 on Sullivan Trial in Tobyhanna Township.

Police officers were dispatched to the area for an intoxicated female walking down the middle of the road. When officers arrived they saw a female fall on the side of the road.

The female then began walking down the middle of Sullivan Trail, police allege.

They said Carmona was covered in mud from falling and was highly intoxicated to the point she was a danger to herself.

She was committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville.
