Presbyterian church
The Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church, Summit Hill, has announced its service schedule for the Easter observance as follows:
Palm/Passion Sunday, April 17 - worship will begin at 10:30 a.m.
Maundy Thursday, April 21 - Communion service will be held at 7 p.m.
Good Friday, April 22 - the community service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Easter Sunday April 24 - sunrise service will be held at 6:45 a.m. in Memorial Park, followed by the traditional Easter worship service at 10:30 a.m.
Legion to meet
The monthly meeting of American Legion Post 316, Summit Hill, will be held on Monday, April 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the post home. Commander W. Kevin O'Donnell will be in charge of the session.
A meeting of the Home Association will immediately follow the post's meeting.
Borough council
The monthly meeting of the Summit Hill Borough Council will be held on Monday, April 11, at 7 p.m. in the borough hall. Joseph Weber, president, will be in charge of the session.
St. Joseph Church
St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, has announced its schedule of Easter services as follows:
Holy Thursday, April 21 - Commemoration of the Last Supper will take place at 6:30 p.m., followed by personal reflection "In the Garden" until 10 o'clock, when a night prayer service will take place.
Good Friday, April 22 - Liturgical Commemoration of the Passion will be held at noon, followed by personal reflection "At the Tomb" until 3 o'clock.
Holy Saturday, April 23 - Easter baskets will be blessed, starting at 11 a.m. The Easter vigil will take place that evening at 8 o'clock.
Easter Sunday , April 24 - Bishop John O. Barres of the Diocese of Allentown will preside at the 11 a.m. Mass. Other masses will be celebrated at 8 and 9 a.m.

St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford, has announced its schedule of Easter services as follows:
Friday, April 15 - Living Stations will be presented at 7 p.m. All children of the parish are invited to participate.
Palm Sunday, April 17 - regular Mass schedule will be followed.
Holy Thursday, April 21 - a Mass of the Lord's Supper and Washing of the Feet will be held at 7 p.m.
Good Friday, April 22 - Liturgy of the Passion will be held at 3 p.m.
Holy Saturday, April 23 - blessing of the Easter baskets will take place at noon. The Easter vigil will be held that night at 8 o'clock.
Easter Sunday, April 24 - Masses at 8 and 10:30 a.m.

First Congregational Church
Morning Worship will be conducted at First Congregational Church at 9 a.m. Sunday, April 10, with Sunday School at 10 a.m.
Lenten Services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, followed by choir practice.
Examination of confirmands will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16.
Distribution of Palms will be held following Palm Sunday and Confirmation services at 9 a.m. Sunday, April 17.
