PGC to adopt seasons and bag limits
Final adoption of the 2011-12 hunting and furtaking seasons, bag limits and antlerless allocations will highlight the quarterly meeting of the Pennsylvania Game Commission board of game commissioners, Monday and Tuesday, beginning at 8:30 a.m. both days, at agency headquarters, 2001 Elmerton Ave., just off the Progress Ave. exit of Interstate 81, Harrisburg.
Monday, the board will hear public comments on the proposed seasons and bag limits that were given preliminary approval in January. Doors open at 7:45 a.m. for registration by those interested in offering public testimony, which is limited to five minutes, and the board will receive agency staff reports and updates.
Tuesday, the board is scheduled to take official action to finalize the 2011-12 seasons and bag limits and to set antlerless deer license allocations for the upcoming seasons. A complete agenda for the meeting is posted on the agency website at www.pgc.state.pa.us.
