Hunter tosses shutout for Bloomsburg University

Lehighton High School graduate Kyle Hunter threw a shutout during the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday as the Bloomsburg University baseball team beat No. 12 ranked Millersville University, 2-0, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action.

Hunter struck out seven, walked two and allowed just four hits in the complete game effort.

The performance also earned him the PSAC East's Pitcher of the Week award.

For the season, Hunter has started five games and relieved in two others. He has a 2-1 record and a 3.68 ERA in 29 and a third innings. He has struck out 15 while allowing 32 hits and 12 walks.

Bloomsburg is now 12-14 on the season.
