Monroe driver facing DUI charge
A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 2:35 a.m. on Saturday, April 9.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said at the time and location stated officers observed a vehicle fail to stop for a stop sign at the intersection of state routes 903 and 115. A traffic stop was made and the driver was identified as Nicholas Marudis, 25, of Stroudsburg.
Marudis was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was taken into custody and transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.
The DUI charge is pending the test results, police said.
