Monroe teen facing charges
A Monroe County teen is facing charges following an incident that occurred about 11:43 p.m. on Saturday, April 9.
Pocono Mountain Regional police were dispatched to Main St., in Tobyhanna, for a reported assault. Upon arrival officers were told by Antoinette Dodson, 33, of Tobyhanna, that she had been assaulted by Christyen Sumpter, 19, also of Tobyhanna. She related that after escorting her juvenile daughter inside the residence Sumpter came after her and assaulted her inside the home. Sumpter had fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers.
He was later located and taken into custody and charged with burglary, criminal trespass, simple assault and harassment. He was taken to the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignement, police added.
