Philly man jailed after traffic stop

Jim Thorpe police arrested a Philadelphia man for parole violations after a traffic stop at 1:07 a.m. April 9 at the intersection of routes 209 and 903 in the borough.

Police said they stopped a vehicle operated by Kaitlin Nico Frohnheiser, 19, also of Philadelphia, for equipment violations and learned there were two outstanding warrants for parole violations against a passenger in the vehicle, David A. Acevedo. Police took him into custody and also found him to be in possession of a controlled substance, later havign him committed to the Carbon County Correctional Facility, Nesquehoning.

Police said Frohnheiser has been cited for several traffic violations. Police said she did not have a valid driver's license and was in possession of an expired learner's permit.
