Employee charged with theft

An employee at the Wal-Mart store in Mt. Pocono, Monroe County, has been arrested and charged with theft and receiving stolen property.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said on Feb. 8 about 10 a.m. they were called to the store concerning the theft of iPods. The loss protection manager had discovered several iPods were stolen by several employees on Feb. 3.

During the course of the investigation Cristiano Costa, 21, of Cresco, admitted being one of the employees who stole one of the iPods. Costa turned himself in on Monday, April 18, and was charged with the two counts. He was arraigned and released on unsecured bail.

The investigation is continuing, police added.
