April 22, 1988 Craig Kickle's squeeze bunt in the bottom of the eighth inning plated Alan Guth with the winning run as Jim Thorpe outscored Weatherly, 15-14, in a Schuylkill League Division II-North contest. Tony Wolfe collects four hits, one a three-run triple, to lead the Olympians' offense. Thorpe, coached by Doug Tomel, rallies from an early 7-1 deficit. Joe Kehrli tosses the final four innings to gain the pitching win.
