April 29, 1974 Kerry Solt hits two home runs to help Palmerton gain an 11-4 victory over Jim Thorpe. Solt, just a freshman, drills a grand slam in the first inning and adds a two-run blast in the fourth frame. The Blue Bombers also receive a two-run homer off the bat of Denny Strohl while Jerry Serfass contributes a two-run single. Bill Mazepa chips in with a hit, RBI and three runs scored.
