Monroe arrests

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on the following arrests.

On Saturday, April 23, about 11:15 a.m. officers were called to the Walmart store in Mt. Pocono by loss prevention officers. Police were told that Joshua J. Rinehart, 28, of Cresco, was observed concealing $67.48 worth of various items on his person and leaving the store without paying for them. He was issued a summary citation for retail theft and then released.

On Monday, April 25, about 8:10 p.m. officers observed an intoxicated male in the parking lot of the Dunkin Donuts in Mt. Pocono. The male, identified as William Johnson, 43, of Albrightsville, became agitated that police were questioning him. He attempted to fight with police but was placed under arrest and transported to the county prison in Snydersville.

He was charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct, police said.
