Graduates from PSU

Christopher James Rohde, a 2007 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, graduated from Penn State University on May 15, with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering technology.

Rohde was on the dean's list and also lead his senior project design team to a first place finish for their re-design of a hand-held pneumatic projectile shooter to clean industrial hoses.

He is the son of Ron and Lynne Rohde of Tuscarora, the grandson of Shirley Rohde and the late Jim Rohde of Barnesville, and the late Dorothy Theobold of Tamaqua.

Rohde has accepted a position as machine design specialist with Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. in Allentown.
