Jailed 17 months

Robert Warren McFarland, 40, Pottsville, found guilty by a jury last June 7 of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol was sentenced by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin to serve 12 to 60 months in the county prison, pay a fine of $1,500, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account, $100 to Catastrophe fund, complete alcohol highway safety school, receive outpatient treatment and driver's license suspended 18 months and when released pay a $50 monthly supervision while on probation.

On a summary charge of driving while his license was suspended was fined was fined $100 and must serve an additional 60 to 120 days in prison. McFarland was cited by Saint Clair Chief Michael P. Carey.

Jailed 3 days

Frank John D'Agostino III, 29, Shenandoah, pleaded guilty to DUI and was sentenced by Judge Dolbin to serve 72 hours to six months in the county prison, fined $1,000, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account, $50 to Catastrophe fund, a $50 monthly supervision fee, complete safety school, make restitution of $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, and $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab.

On a charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance drew concurrent sentences but must pay and addition fee of $300 to Substance Abuse Education fund and $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account . On a charge of driving an unregistered vehicle was fined $25 plus $50 costs. He also must forfeit $2,753.43 to the district attorney of funds seized when he was cited by Trooper Mario Pompeil on SR924 in Shenandoah.

Drug charges

Michael Austin Liggett, 27, Carlisle, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and was sentenced by Judge John E. Domalakes to serve 12 months on probation and received credit for serving three days in the county prison. He must pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account, $50 to district attorney's office for a bench warrant and make restitution of $113 to Bethlehem Regionan Lab. His probation was transferred to Lehigh County.

Liggett was cited by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman George S. Meisner. Ligget had previously been placed in the Accelerated Rehabilative Disposition (ARD) probation program for first time offenders, but it was revoked.

Revoke probation

Jennifer L. Pickett, 26, Schuylkill Haven, had her probation revoked by Judge Dolbin and was remanded to the county prison but will be eligible to apply for re-parole in one month. She had pleaded guilty theft from a vacant home.

Dennis Cory Shafe, 26, Schuylkill Haven, had his probation revoked by Judge Dolbin and he was re-sentenced to serve four to 24 months in prison and received credcit for 33 days served. Shafe pleaded guilty to drug charges. He was cited by Minersville Patrolman Richad C. Clink, Minersville Police.
