August 8, 1999 Jim Thorpe's Mike Deacy and Willie McHose both hit first inning homers and the East go on to cruise to a 23-8 win over the West in the annual Panther Valley Little League Tournament all-star game. Brandon Kusko of Nesquehoning also belts a homer for the winners, who put the game away with an 11-run fourth inning. McHose gains the pitching win and finishes with two hits and four RBIs. Dave Versuk of Franklin Township adds two hits and a pair of RBIs while Weatherly's Eric Graham adds a two-run double.
