August 12, 1964 Dean Leslie fires a two-hit shutout to lead Lehighton to an 8-0 Anthracite Baseball League win over Tamaqua at Baer Memorial Park. Lehighton breaks a scoreless tie by scoring five runs in the fifth inning. Billy Sotak, who finishes 2-for-2, accounts for three of those runs with a homer. Leslie allows just a double to Dave Seltzer in the second inning and a single to John Holmberg in the third.
