Tamaqua crash

No one was injured in a two vehicle accident in Tamaqua Thursday afternoon.

Thomas Wichie, 69, of McAdoo, was traveling south on Pine Street at 4:15 p.m. when he stopped for a red traffic signal at the intersection with East Broad Street. According to Wichie, he put his 2011 Chevrolet Silverado in reverse to make room for a tractor trailer turning from Broad on to Pine Street. Wichie backed in to a legally parked 2010 Toyota Corolla owned by John Meier of New Ringgold.

Both vehicles had minor damage and were able to be driven from the scene.
