Class reunion
The Class of 1961, the first graduating class of PVHS in Brodheadsville, is celebrating its 50-year reunion on Saturday, Aug. 27, beginning at noon, in the courtyard garden at the high school.
After a group photo, class members, spouses and friends who attended with them in either Chestnuthill or Polk, will have a guided tour of the building.
A photo video presentation about class members will be shown in the old auditorium. Class members have been asked to submit old informal photos from PV, PHS and CHS.
At 4 p.m. the formal school event will end, but for those who are interested, there will be dinner at a local restaurant and possibly a meeting for breakfast Sunday morning.
The reunion date has been planned so that those from out of town can attend the West End Fair, which begins Sunday.
